Mink Makes Master Class Cosplay

This week's special guest is cosplayer extraordinaire Mink the Satyr, hot off of the stage at NYCC Eastern Championships of Cosplay. At NYCC she showed off some amazing cosplay, as Raven from Teen Titans, Ninetails, and Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn (in an amazing wig by Hero Hair). We hear her exciting costume construction stories, her Cosplay 101 workshops, her "home studio", and her cosplay plans! Two upcoming projects from Mink: She's playing on Team Toy Soldiers for Extra Life 2017 raising money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals! And, she's going to be featured in the 2018 Women vs Cosplay Calendar! (She was featured in the 2017 calendar as well, which you can download here.)

Pokemon GO Gets Legendary!

Episode 86: The exclusive eighty-sixth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! This week Miz Sylver is at Gen Con 50, playing games and taking names! She's having a great time. She attended the Diana Jones Awards on Wednesday night, and Gen Con won! She ran into Matt Fantastic of Prettiest Princess Games. She played Game of Thrones Settlers of Catan and checked out all of the arcade options. She'll be trying to play in some of the daily Overwatch Tournaments, so go beat up on her! She's also running some Paragons of the Past events, and playing some Adventurers League on Sunday! Anne Brown Loves Costumes!

Episode 85: The exquisite eighty-fifth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! Tonight, we have a special guest! Anne Brown is here to tell us about the awesomeness of the GenCon Costume Contest. GenCon is Thursday August 17 - Sunday August 20, in Indianapolis. The costume contest is Saturday, August 19, 2017 starting at 4pm in the 500 Ballroom of the Convention Center. This year's awesome judges will include Michelle Nephew of Atlas Games, the creator of Ren Faire and Witches of the Revolution, and DragonLance author Laura Hickman! Anne tells about her start at TSR, editing Dragon magazine, and then working on games like Spelljammer and Masque of the Red Death. Anne started running the GenCon Costume Contest in 1997, and has been loving it ever since. She's even run the costume contests at Star Wars Celebration for a few years, too! She gives us the details of the costume contest, including the appearances by the awesome entertainer The Great Luke Ski, the categories, some of the most memorable costumes through the years!
