Miz Sylver played the demo of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, which started as a Kickstarter. She backed the project, and is pretty glad because she enjoyed the demo! It's a Castlevania-style side-scroller platformer, and you can still pre-order a copy even though the Kickstarter is over.

Pokemon a-GO-GO!!! - Updated

Episode 35: the tenacious thirty-fifth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast. And it is living up to its name as we discuss Pokemon GO. But first, a little talk about Pokemon Shuffle. We think we have figured out this new Skill Swapper power-up, and get excited for Skill Booster drops from Celebi and the newly arrived Origin Forme of Giratina in an escalation battle. In random news, Hyrule Warriors Legends has an update that Miz Sylver is excited about, so if you are playing update your game to V 1.4.0 and increase your max hero level and get a free fairy! New Callie and Marie amiibo are out, along with a recoloring of the three-pack of the inkling girl and boy and squid. The Callie and Marie amiibo unlock new content in Splatoon and new outfits in Mario Maker.

Miz Sylver's TempleCon events are fully scheduled! (TempleCon is August 25th - 28th at the Crowne Plaza Warwick in Rhode Island)

We are excited about lots of stuff at the Con, including the arcade, and the newly introduced arcade high score contests, and Starship Horizons. In the past few years we have attended the Neo-Victorian High Tea, and have loved it every time. You have to preregister for that, and it is worth it!

And of course, we talk about Pokemon GO!!! Miz Sylver has played a lot more than The Wolf Doctor, since she has been plagued by login issues. We have pledged ourselves to Team Valor aka Red, we want you in our crew! Maybe we will see you on a Poke-Walk around Boston???
Thanks for listening! If you have any questions or comments, we want to hear from you. Are you going to TempleCon? Did we get any of the mechanics of Pokemon Go wrong? Are you on Team Red? #TeamWillow or #TeamKukui? Tweet, email, or comment on the blog or Facebook to let us know!

Bit Bar Buddies - Updated

Episode 34: The thirsty thirty-fourth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast, where our old school arcade dreams come to life! We had an awesome time visiting Bit Bar Salem this week, where we spoke to head chef Eric "The" Hammer, front of house manager Eric (yes, two Erics, Miz Sylver is confused!), and Gideon, President of the Bit Bar group. Listen for our full review, but let us just say that we had an awesome time! Rob who runs the Twitter stream is also hilarious, and has agreed to give us an interview "soon"! Bit Bar Salem is a "barcade", a bar/restaurant with tons of arcade games. Bit Bar is located at Bridge St & St Peter St in Salem, and is in the old Salem Jail! It's worth following them on Facebook, and signing up for their email list, since they email out which games will be at the bar. There are about thirty games now, including three pinball machines, but they have about as many again in storage that will be rotated in to keep the experience fresh! The food was also amazing, big props to Chef Eric for elevating it past standard bar fare and offering a wide vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free selection. The Wolf Doctor loved the shiitake spring rolls, and Miz Sylver loved the elk burger! The popcorn snacks were cool too! All the drinks on the menu have great video game names, like Ms. Pac Man (Miz Sylver's order) and the Ghost Eater (the Wolf Doctor's choice). Next time we have to order the Dankey Kang!

We talk a bit about Pokemon Shuffle, which, if you are playing, you need to check out the special events this week. The latest safari has the first in-game shiny's, Shiny Gyrados and Shiny Magicarp, and is ending July 5th. This ties in to the moves based Mega Gyrados competition, also ending July 5th. We also mention a whole lot of news and upcoming events!

Thanks for listening! If you have any questions or comments, we want to hear from you. Have you been to Bit Bar Salem or one of their pop up Bit Fest events? Is Cue Ball Wizard as scary as I make it sound? Are you going to the Sailor Symphony? Tweet, email, or comment on the blog or Facebook to let us know!
