Generation 2 Pokemon from Gold and Silver have finally started spawning, after the tease of Gen 2 babies hatching from eggs! They've introduced a slew of other new features, including new berries, new evolution items that you will get randomly from pokestops, new clothes (some free, some that cost pokecoins), gender specific pokemon, new encounter mechanics, new candy bonuses, and more... If this has you excited, pokemon storage space is on sale in the game at half price (50 more slots for 100 pokecoins, down from 200). Are you still playing Pokemon GO? Pokemon GO's Valentine's Event is happening until February 15th. Pink Pokemon appear more frequently, including in eggs! And, get double the candy, as is appropriate for Valentine's Day! Also, LURES LAST 6 HOURS! If swelling does not go down, call a doctor!
The third Pokemon Sun and Moon Global Mission is on until February 14th! This one is to trade Pokemon using the GTS, and it's already reached its stretch goal! So sign up for festival coins and a Friend Ball!

Episode 62: the sultry sixty-second episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! Today we cover some news and Miz Sylver talks PAX South! First, the news:
You can now get Mewnium Z in Pokemon Sun and Moon by using the online Pokemon Bank. You have until October, but do it sooner rather than later.
There's a new Global Mission in Pokemon Sun and Moon! This one is to trade 1 million Pokemon using the Global Trade Station. The reward is for Festival Coins, but you can also get a Friend Ball if 2 million Pokemon are traded! This mission ends February 14th.
This year is Final Fantasy's 30th anniversary! Whoa! They are releasing a bunch of different products in honor of the anniversary, including deluxe wine glasses and wine. Special Cup Noodle ramen with different art for each game are available! There's a really cool Final Fantasy fork-sword prize that you can win by buying those Cup Noodles, but trust the Wolf Doctor when she says that it's very easy to get a toaster oven stuck on your Buster Sword. Final Fantasy is also getting the Escape Room treatment. In the show, we say it's Japan-only, but they just announced after we recorded that it will also be coming to the US!
Speaking of Escape Rooms, iam8bit is bringing their Resident Evil Escape Room to Boston February 22 - March 19. There are still tickets! Still tickets! They are starting to get sold out on the weekends, but you can still go! We are going to go!
And in podcast news, /r/Nintendo is gonna have a podcast! The first episode will go up February 7th, and you can enter to be on the show now!

The Wolf Doctor and Miz Sylver will both be attending, and hosting our panel "Podcasting: From Amateur to Pro-Caster" tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 11th at 8:00pm in the Arachnid Theatre. Our all star panel includes Kelsey of Pink Gorilla Games, KC of the SwitchCast, Kevin of the Hadron Gospel Hour, and the inimitable Jonathan Holmes, who's staring in the out now 2064: Read Only Memories.
Fire Emblem Warriors, a Dynasty Warriors-style game, will be coming to both New 3DS and Switch in the fall.
Also, an as-yet un-named Fire Emblem game will be coming to the Switch in 2018. This series is really gaining popularity!

We talk about his experience at the Nintendo Switch Preview Event in New York. (More of these events are upcoming.) He trekked down to the Kimpton Hotel on 6th Ave at 6:30 am for the 10 am 90-minute session of Switch experiences! He talks about ARMS, Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, his impressions of the hardware, and getting to say hi to Follow @Yoshi_OnoChin. His overall impression of the Switch is that it's awesome!
We also asked some friends of the podcast to give us their takes on the Switch Preview Event! First up is Beast Gamer Kuma of KumaZoku Entertainment! Find him on Twitter Follow @BeastGamerKuma and Twitch He also made an amazing event video!
After attending this event he is now a viral video star thanks to his hilarious 12 Switch cow milking performance! However he is not 100% sold yet on the Switch. He needs the third party games to be as awesome as the novelty games.
