Kaitlin Coaches Coolness



Episode 189: the hopeful hundred and eighty-ninth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! Tonight we have a special guest, Kaitlin Teniente, the Head Coach of ESports at St. Mary's University of San Antonio, Texas! She is starting their ESports program, which is kicking off its first season this fall. Kaitlin tells us about how she got into ESports and her plans for the team! Upcoming daily encounter and daily box tests, keep your eye on the shop icon and Professor Willow in case you are part of the test! Free Pokémon Sword & Shield Clothing themed to the Isle of Armor in the shop! Look for Zekrom in 5-star raid battles through July 7. You can now BUY stickers for coins - Piakchu being squeezed by Raichu, Fat Pikachu, Ditto Love! The Solstice event featuring Shiny Clefairy is happening through June 24, and the Bug Out! event featuring Shiny Dwebble will be happening June 26 to July 1. The Bug Out! event will also have a Pinsir Raid Day on Sunday, June 28, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. There will also be a 1 PokéCoin bundle available featuring three Remote Raid Passes! And finally, you can nominate a local business to be featured in Pokemon Go!



Miz Sylver has started on the Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield - Isle of Armor expansion! New clothes! Apricorns! Plenty of other stuff is happening in game, like the appearance of Zeraora in Max Raids! This summer's International Friendly Online Competition is happening June 25-28 - it's a Double Battle Format! Sign up through June 25.

Throwback Throwdown

In Pokemon GO, today is Seedot Community Day. Sunday, May 24, 2020, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time! The Pokémon GO Throwback Challenge is in its final week! Sinnoh! Get Lucario Hat Pikachu and Shiny Glameow! Don't forget, if you complete all four regional special research, you can join in the Throwback Challenge Champion event for free, happening Wednesday, June 3 to Monday, June 8. If not, you can buy a ticket to the Throwback Challenge Celebration. (You can apparently do both... ?) There are some amazing pokemon appearing as part of this event, including Galarian Meowth and Galarian Stunfisk. The game will be down for many hours June 1st! Uniqlo shirts are now available for you avatar for free! Reshiram is the first of the Unova legendaries coming to Pokemon Go, starting May 26. And voting for the next two community days is happening RIGHT NOW!



In Pokémon Sword & Shield, Gigantamax Eevee is here until May 25, when it will be followed by Gigantamax Meowth! Also, get Mystery Gift Pokemon with special hidden abilities, starting this week, starting with Galarian Mr. Mime. May 29 brings Galarian Ponyta, June 5 brings Galarian Corsola, and June 12 brings Galarian Meowth. Don’t forget the 2020 International Challenge May Online Competition Tournament! Episode 183: The hopeful hundred and eighty-third episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! Now with more Rattata! This week we talk news...

Pokémon GO continues to have a lot going on! Don't forget to check out the Battle League Leaderboard! May’s Research Breakthrough encounter is Shinx, and Pokémon Spotlight Hours this month feature Shellder, Sunkern, Poochyena, and Bronzor. The Throwback Challenge has begun and we are still in week one until Friday May 8th. It's Kanto week, featuring Pikachu wearing Charizard hats! Each week is themed around a different Pokemon Region, and will feature a multi-part special research series (9 parts this week!) that you have to complete that week, a special increased frequency shiny from that region, and a hatted Pikachu featuring that region's number-one Pokemon discovered in that region, among other bonuses! The final week features the Throwback Challenge Champion 2020 Special Research, when Galarian Stunfisk will be making its Pokémon GO debut! Galarian Meowth, Galarian Zigzagoon, Galarian Darumaka, and Galarian Stunfisk will also be making their debuts. And don't forget the Remote Raid Pass celebration: Darkrai, Altered Forme Giratina, and Virizion will be in five-star raids!

Did you hear that The Wolf Doctor beat Pokemon Sword? Miz Sylver tells her she should brave Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Ranked Battles. The new season has begun and will run throughout May 2020. If you are playing, be on the lookout for Tyranitar, Togekiss, Excadrill, Whimsicott, and Dragapult, as well as Heat or Wash Rotom, in Max Raid Battles until May 11, 2020.

Pokémon Masters has added in a free Daily Sync Pull for Items/Sync Pairs, and a free starter egg! New pairs are here too, Silver and Ho-Oh and Wallace and Milotic, with a story with Ethan & Silver to find Ho-oH.

New Galarian Pokémon Plush! And the fancy Mareep is back!



There's a lot of new Pokémon television, including Pokemon Journeys the Series (Season 23) starting on Netflix on June 12th!
