Pokemon GO Gets Legendary!

Episode 86: The exclusive eighty-sixth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! This week Miz Sylver is at Gen Con 50, playing games and taking names! She's having a great time. She attended the Diana Jones Awards on Wednesday night, and Gen Con won! She ran into Matt Fantastic of Prettiest Princess Games. She played Game of Thrones Settlers of Catan and checked out all of the arcade options. She'll be trying to play in some of the daily Overwatch Tournaments, so go beat up on her! She's also running some Paragons of the Past events, and playing some Adventurers League on Sunday! Her top pick for all visitors the convention is the Gen Con 50 Museum, with all kinds of awesome D&D and gaming history. (Read some awesome blog posts about it!)

• Pokemon GO Legendary Birds and Lugia have been extended until August 31! Get them!
• Shiny Pikachus and Pichus and Raichus are out in Pokemon Go!
• MewTwo is coming to Pokemon Go as the first Legendary in the exclusive raid system.
• Some Sprint stores are giving away Pokemon GO trainer badges that are actual real patches! And they are FREE! But you have to be lucky to pick one up. Call the stores first to check! The Wolf Doctor called around and had no luck, but you should try too!

The new Alolan pokedex is featured in the video game competition, and the trading card game and Pokken Tournament will be happening too! Anne Brown Loves Costumes!

Episode 85: The exquisite eighty-fifth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! Tonight, we have a special guest! Anne Brown is here to tell us about the awesomeness of the GenCon Costume Contest. GenCon is Thursday August 17 - Sunday August 20, in Indianapolis. The costume contest is Saturday, August 19, 2017 starting at 4pm in the 500 Ballroom of the Convention Center. This year's awesome judges will include Michelle Nephew of Atlas Games, the creator of Ren Faire and Witches of the Revolution, and DragonLance author Laura Hickman! Anne tells about her start at TSR, editing Dragon magazine, and then working on games like Spelljammer and Masque of the Red Death. Anne started running the GenCon Costume Contest in 1997, and has been loving it ever since. She's even run the costume contests at Star Wars Celebration for a few years, too! She gives us the details of the costume contest, including the appearances by the awesome entertainer The Great Luke Ski, the categories, some of the most memorable costumes through the years!

• Zapdos is available as a legendary raid in Pokemon Go until Monday August 14th. The end dates for Lugia have not been announced, so get out there too!

• Overwatch Summer Games 2017 are on until August 29th. There are new skins like Mercy's Nike Skin, and Lucio Ball which is like Rocket League ONLY LUCIO!
• Boston Comic Con is this weekend, August 11th - 13th at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center! This is a different convention center than last year, so don't go to the wrong place!!! Stop by booth #1207 for a free comic book from Drive-In Horror Show.
• Nintendo World Championships are happening! The finals are in New York City, Oct. 7, 2017 at Manhattan Center’s Grand Ballroom. Qualifiers are August 19th - September 10th, the details are on the website! Mario Kart 7 is the game that you will be playing at the qualifiers, details on the stages for the two age groups and the giveaways at the events are on the website.
• There's a new Kirby 25th Anniversary 3DS Theme in My Nintendo Rewards!
