PokeProblems Plays ARMS Global TestPunch

Episode 74: the sexual seventy-fourth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! Tonight we focus on ARMS, but we cover a lot of news and events too!

• This week saw the release of Magikarp Jump! Miz Sylver is loving it!
• Overwatch is celebrating its anniversary with special events and dancing emotes through June 12th! Miz Sylver's favorites are Junkrat's 90's dancing and Reaper tapping his foot. Memorial Day Weekend is also a free weekend, so if you haven't tried the game yet, or if you want to try it on an alternate platform, now's your chance.
• The Nintendo Summer of Play is starting soon. It is NOT coming to Boston, but it is going to Summerfest in Milwaukee (as is the Playstation Road to Greatness), and will be in New York August 18th - 20th. People who pre-order or purchase select Nintendo games at participating GameStop locations near the 2017 Summer of Play tour stops will receive a Nintendo branded PopSocket mobile accessory device (limited quantity; while supplies last). Remember to make a My Nintendo account - if you check in with your My Nintendo QR Code, you will also be able to receive a free gift item (while supplies last)!
• An update on Forsaken Castle: they made their super stretch Kickstarter Goal to release the game on the Nintendo Switch, with a cool version you can order with Super NES-style box.
• Speaking of Castlevania-style games, did you hear that Netflix is doing a Castlevania series, premiering July 7th!

Miz Sylver Loves Kukui Nuts

• Super League Minecraft championships are tomorrow! Miz Sylver's team, the Boston Revolt, are facing off against the LA Shockwaves, Denver Drakes, and Dallas Dynamite in a free-for-all four-team final! You can follow along on the leaderboard starting at 1:30 PM Eastern Time.
• Fathom Events is having a Miyazaki festival this summer, starting with My Neighbor Totoro being shown on June 25 and 26. They show these movies nationwide, so search for a theater near you. (They also sell out early in many locations, so if you want to go to an event grab tickets sooner rather than later!)
• The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses is coming back to Boston in a new version including music from Breath of the Wild. The Boston date is October 21st, 2017, at 8 pm, at the Boch Center Wang Theatre.

• And of course we talk about the most recent Nintendo Direct featuring ARMS and the newest trailer for Splatoon 2! ARMS will be having its Global Testpunch event May 26-28 and June 2-4, you can download the required demo in the eShop now! (The Fridays of those events will be North America only...)

• Enter the Playstation Road to Greatness contest by May 21st to have the tour bus come to you! This year's topics are "What does Gran Turismo mean to you?" OR "Reenact your favourite scene from Uncharted." If you live in Milwaukee, the tour is coming to Summerfest June 29th - July 2nd.
• Miz Sylver worked at the Chicago location for the Scrap Zelda Escape Room at the Ravenswood Event Center. Miz Sylver met Paul Tassi and his friend Anton who were there reviewing the event for Forbes!
  There's one more location for the room, it's happening May 4th - 7th at Metropolitan West in New York.
• Miz Sylver had adventures in Chicago, including eating udon and buying comics and far too much tie-in candy at Mitsuwa. She also hit up the Safe House Chicago!
• SUPER LEAGUE! The first week of Super League: League of Legends is this week! Miz Sylver is working Wednesday April 26th at 7 pm at the Foxborough Showcase location! This coming weekend also marks the first week of City Champs for Super League Minecraft, and Miz Sylver will be working Saturday April 29th at the Foxborough Showcase location. Pokemon Go Easter Eggstravaganza with Tenku No Oni

Episode 71: The slammin' seventy-first episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast, costarring the terrific Tenku No Oni! Today we discuss the news of the day!

• New adorable Yoshi Springtime Siesta 3DS theme reward on My Nintendo.
• It's National Street Pass weekend April 13th-16th! There's lots of special spring events in games like Animal Crossing: A New Leaf and Pokemon Shuffle!
• Fire Emblem Heroes has added new features, including increased stamina so you can play longer!
• The Overwatch Uprising Event is happening until May 1st, and it develops the story and characters of the games as well as giving you new prizes in Loot boxes!
• Smite has a couple events going on concurrently! Right now the Celestial Voyage event is happening until May 9 for computer and May 16 for consoles, and gives you the chance to win cool Thoth skin by completing quests to unlock glyphs. The second event, Apollo's Racer Rumble, is happening right now for computer until May 9, and for consoles from May 2 to June 6, and it looks like the Mario Kart of Smite! Insanity!
