Pokemon GOing GOing GOne! and Girls Make Games

Episode 29: The tricky twenty-ninth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast. Lots of Pokemon stuff is going on! Pokemon Shuffle has mercifully only introduced one new-to-the-game Pokemon this week, Magmortar, which is one of the new, takes-coins-to-play stages. June is the month of Manaphy, connect to the Nintendo Network. Didn't get Mew in the GameStop distribution earlier this year? Sign up for the Pokemon Trainer Club email list by June 1st to get a code to get that Mew. Last week we all signed up for the Pokemon Go beta, but we did not get in! Some of our friends, who are Ingress players, got in, but they had to sign a pretty serious NDA, so we are working on figuring out what can be said in an interview.

We talk about a few events:

• WARCRAFT movie, out June 9th!
• We attended a fundraiser for Girls Make Games at the Aeronaut Brewing Co. in Somerville. We played Mr. Do!
• New York Comic Con (October 6 – 9, 2016) is doing a new ticketing process. If you want to buy tickets to NYCC, you need to sign up for Fan Verification by June 13th, 2016. This is basically a pre-registration process. It does not get you tickets! But you must do this sign up if you want to buy tickets. Read about it on their website. Miz Sylver is probably going, and is excited about trying to see Stan Lee!

Episode 28: The triumphant twenty-eighth episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! The Wolf Doctor returns from Alola to chat about Pokemon. Pokemon Shuffle introduces yet another complication, the ability to level the ability of a Pokemon separately from its level. What leveling an ability means is still not well detailed, we will probably discuss again when we've seen its effects. This week, download shiny Yveltal for X, Y, Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire. Very important stuff here: the Pokemon Go Beta is taking sign-ups here! SIGN UP! HOPEFULLY WE WILL ALL GO TOGETHER. Next we talk about the Pokemon Sun and Moon announcements. • The first truly worldwide Splatfest (where you could play with and against players from other regions) had team Fancy just edging out team Costume for the best kind of party!
• Hyrule Warriors Legends first DLC pack, the May Master Wind Waker Pack, has just been released. Even if you don't want to buy the DLC, log into your game and download the character Medli for free!
• Yo-Kai Watch 2 is coming to the US September 30th, 2016! Same day as FFXV!
• Monster Hunter Generations is coming July 15th, 2016. In the US we are also getting a blue special edition New 3DS!
• Update your Super Smash Bros. for both 3DS and Wii U to version 1.1.6!
• TODAY, May 21st, 2016, StreetPass Boston meetup at the Cambridgeside Galleria food court at 2pm.
• Game Underground's 8th Anniversary Party is happening June 4th. Starting at their store in Natick at 12pm, with lots of giveaways, tournaments, and prizes!
