Everyday I'm Pokemon Shufflin'

Episode 22: The tilted twenty second episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! This weeks episode is very Pokemon heavy! Pokemon Shuffle got a huge update, which not only changed the looks of the game but introduced a new game mode, Survival Mode, new mission cards, and new types of level up prizes. There's a lot to cover! Pokkén Tournament is out and is pretty awesome. Miz Sylver gives her thoughts on how it ranks against other Wii U and classic fighting games. More news about Pokemon Go this week, but talks of gyms and levels and free-to-play leave us with as many questions as answers! This game could be awesome, right? If you are into Hyrule Warriors and the new Hyrule Warriors Legends, Miz Sylver recommends getting this year's season pass to get all the DLC at an amazing price... Miz Sylver will be at the Midwest Gaming Classic at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield Hotel on April 9th helping out at the Makes Cents Variety Store booth while dressed as Mileena from Mortal Kombat! We will both be at PAX East (April 22-24), so hit up our email, twitter, and blog to let us know if you are going!

Thanks for listening! If you have any questions or comments, we want to hear from you. Have you 100%'ed Hyrule Warriors? Are you going to the Midwest Gaming Classic or PAX East? Will you StreetPass anything that moves? (Gotta get those pink pieces!) Tweet, email, or comment on the blog or Facebook to let us know.

Pre-Order PlayStation VR March 22nd!

Miz Sylver just saw the pre-order info at GameStop! Pre-Order March 22nd, shipping in "October", you can get a $499 pre-order bundle with all the PlayStation VR bits, plus two PlayStation Move controllers (suggested for many of the games/experiences), a demo games disc, and "VR Worlds", a set of five games developed for the VR; London Heist, Into The Deep, VR Luge, Danger Ball, and Scavenger's Odyssey. We talk about the VR on this week's episode, and mention in particular that pre-orders seem like a must if you want a VR, so get going on Tuesday morning!!!

YOU'RE a Shiny Magicarp!

Episode 21: The tardy twenty first episode of the PokeProblemsPodcast! Today's biggest news is the release of Pokken Tournament, the Pokémon fighting game! The roster of 16 characters looks pretty good, but Chandelure??? There are special controllers that you can get for Pokken, too. You can play at Church on the Hill in Boston tonight. There's a lot more Pokemon news... Pokémon Shuffle has a new safari and a corresponding great challenge with Noivern. Celebi is March's "Legendary Pokémon of the Month", you can connect to the Nintendo Network to download a free L100 Celebi. Target has Shiny Magikarp cards to giveaway tomorrow! There are also new Pokémon straw toppers at KFC... in Japan. Phew, I am sure we missed something! On to other gaming news. PlayStation VR... Guys, if you want one, you will have to get on the pre-order train, the pre-orders on Amazon.co.uk are already sold out... The price point is $399, and the release is coming in October, if all goes well! If you are looking for a cool short adventure for the 3DS, the demo for Bravely Default sequel, Bravely Second, is available in the Nintendo eShop. This Square Enix game is a traditional RPG-type game, and the stand-alone demo is about 10 hours of play. Mario Maker received some new content, including a Super Expert difficulty for the 100 Mario Challenge. Miz Sylver is afraid! Upcoming Splatfest: build a snowman or a sandcastle? While the popularity of Frozen pretty much ensures that "Snowman" will be the popular choice, the Wolf Doctor would rather build a sandcastle! If you are in the New York area, head to Monster Hunter NYC's 3rd anniversary party tomorrow, Saturday March 19th at 5pm. If you are in Boston, you can instead go to StreetPass Boston's Saturday March 19th meet-up, at the Prudential Mall at 2pm. (Click those links for more details.) Oh, and Miz Sylver had a lovely time working for Minecraft SuperLeague, and the events were successful enough that they will be having more sessions in the future! (Oh, and Rocket League is going to have cross-play between the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One... Have you ever heard of such a thing?)

Thanks for listening! If you have any questions or comments, we want to hear from you. Are you getting Pokken Tournament today? Will you pre-order a PlayStation VR? Can you pronounce "Pineco"? Tweet, email, or comment on the blog or Facebook to let us know.
